Timber Tails K9 Rescue is dedicated to serving the lost and abandoned dogs of Grays Harbor County and surrounding rural areas. The dogs that enter our rescue come primarily through local shelters, allowing us to follow the proper legal process while working to prevent euthanasia that is happening right here in our own backyard.

Back in January of 2025, a few of us reached a breaking point. We could no longer stand by, watching and waiting, without being part of the solution. After years of fostering for other incredible rescues and working closely alongside them, we gained valuable experience and knowledge. Still, our hearts ached for the dogs being lost in our own county.

So we made a decision — to be the someone.

Every day, we saw posts asking for “someone” to step up. Someone to help. Someone to act. Too often, everyone hoped that someone else would answer the call. One day, we realized that someone had to be us. And so, Timber Tails K9 Rescue was born.

​

This past year has been nothing short of incredible — filled with growth, heartbreak, joy, tears of both happiness and sorrow, new friendships, and opportunities we never imagined. Through it all, one thing has remained constant: our commitment to the dogs and the community we serve.

We are proud to serve Grays Harbor County and the surrounding rural communities.

Please note: we are still building this website. We are entirely volunteer-run, and most of us juggle full-time jobs alongside rescue work. It may not be perfect just yet — but just like our dogs, with time, patience, and love… we will shine. ✨🐶
